SoCal Vampire Savior 99 & 100

The SoCal Vampire Savior community is coming up on a milestone. After six years of Vampire Savior tournaments at a variety of venues, starting all the way back in late 2010, we've ran a total of 98 local tournaments. 100 is a big number, but first we must clear the 99th tournament.

This Friday, September 16, we'll be holding the 99th SoCal Vampire Savior tournament at Game Realms in Burbank, California. While I have bigger plans for the 100th tournament, including prizes (please don't expect much!), the 99th tournament will be simple. Very simple.

Single Match, Single Elimination.

I'm hoping for some quick and intense matches, and some big shake-ups with this format. We'll have to wait for the day itself to see how it goes though! This game in particular I think provides a certain experience with this format from what I've seen with Japanese events. I'm personally eager to throw everything into a single match where we walk a thin line between life and death!

For those coming to the event, it starts at 8pm PT.

The Stream will go live at about 8:30pm PT/11:30pm ET, and the tournament itself will start an hour after that at 9:30pm PT/12:30am ET.

This tournament will probably go FAST, I'm expecting it to take only an hour max, so you'll want to be on the stream watching when we start if you don't want to miss it! I will be attempting to stream every single match.

In addition, the regular Skullgirls and Guilty Gear AC+R tournaments that run alongside Vampire Savior have agreed to go along with my crazy idea and are running single match, single elimination tournaments as well. We'll be running them one after the other, in the order of VSAV > SG > GG+R.

Another big benefit of running this format is the extra time to run some serious casual sets afterwards in preparation for the 100th tournament happening two weeks later.

Dreamcast 17th Anniversary Event at Game Realms in Burbank, CA

This Friday, September 9th, 2016 we will be celebrating the 17th Anniversary of the Sega Dreamcast at Game Realms in Burbank, California.

Starting at 1pm PT, the play area will open with multiple Dreamcast titles for people to try out for free from until 7pm.

Record of Donations for UD-CPS2 (SUCCESS)

This is simply a record of the successful donation fund I ran and completed during 2014-2015. Thank you to all who donated, the Vampire Savior scene I feel has greatly benefited from your generosity!

The Donation Fund has officially started up to acquire two UD-CPS2, as well as two Vampire Savior boards to go along with them. After EVO it was clear that the scene had grown beyond my single UD-CPS2. Getting two more systems would allow us to run almost any tournament or event with ease.

For those who don't know, the UD-CPS2 is a consolized CPS2, the arcade system that Vampire Savior was released on. It allows us to play the arcade release of Vampire Savior in a modern format with USB XBOX 360 and PS3 controllers. They have minimal setup compared to a supergun and can be played on any TV. Vampire Hunter Championship 2015

Vampire Hunter Championship 2015 (VHC2015) is today! This tournament has been a year in the planning, with competitors fighting to win qualifying tournaments for precious seed spots. The event will be ran at the world famous Mikado on 14 head2head arcade setups.

All Out War 7 - VSAV 5v5

All Out War 7, Japanese Vampire Savior 5v5, is this weekend. This is set to be the BIGGEST VSAV TOURNAMENT EVER at 160~ entrants! That the JP community is still growing after all these years is amazing to me. The event starts on Friday(Nov. 20th) in the Americas, and on Saturday(Nov. 21st) everywhere else.
