Wow, 2015 looking to be a big year for VSAV. I'm confident that we'll be passing last years record of 40 entrants with this, though I'm not too sure we'll hit the 50 mark quite yet.

BASIC DETAILS

DATE — Saturday, July 18th 2015
TIME — 11AM on Saturday. If you want to be regionally seeded, please give me your entry fee on Friday. Entrants will no longer be accepted after 10:30am on Saturday.
LOCATION — BYOC Area
STREAM — www.twitch.tv/madcatz. Will be live at 3pm PST / 6pm EST / 11pm CET.

TOURNAMENT DETAILS

FORMAT — 2 out of 3 matches, Double Elimination. Winners, Losers, and Grand Finals will be 3 out of 5 matches.
SYSTEM — UD-CPS2, a modified form of the original arcade hardware that accepts USB inputs. We'll have 2 to 3 stations running during the tournament.
DISPLAY — CRT (If anybody can help out by bring a CRT Television, let me know! Preferably with S-Video hookups, but that isn't a requirement.)
SPEED — Turbo 3

ENTRY

ENTRY FEE — $10
POT SPLIT — 1st: 70% / 2nd: 20% / 3rd: 10%
•You must purchase an EVO 2015 pass to enter the venue, which can be purchased here: http://evo.shoryuken.com/
•Supposedly they'll sell EVO 2015 day passes at the door, but only for Friday and Saturday. I recommend purchasing the pass in advance either way.

UD-CPS2 DETAILS

•Almost every PS3 or 360 USB control device will work with the UD-CPS2. You can play with your Arcade Stick, Pad, or Hitbox.
•The UD-CPS2 does not allow for PPP and KKK button bindings. Please be aware of this and make preparations for this.

Vampire Savior at UGC

This Friday at UGC we'll have a Vampire Savior tourney... but this time I'll be attempting to stream it. We'll go live at around 9pm PDT/12am EDT.

I haven't streamed from outside of my house like this before, and I'm using a whole lot of new equipment I've really only tested once, plus I may have trouble getting on the internet there - SO DON'T BE SURPRISED IF THERE ARE HICCUPS WITH THE STREAM, or if it doesn't even get going at all.

While I haven't been as vocal with posting up notices of VSAV going on at UGC lately, we've still being doing them weekly, getting 12-20 entrants. If the stream goes well I'll probably start making a bigger deal out of the whole thing. We'll see how it goes.

Devil's Playground 4 Finals

Devil's Playground 4 Finals, Japanese Vampire Savior tournament, is this Friday night! DPG4 is the finals of a series of qualifiers which happened this past month, leaving the 8 best Vampire Savior players to duke it out in the end.

Darkstalkers Duo Festival, a Japanese Vampire Savior 2v2, is going to stream live tonight from a-cho game center in Kyoto! This is one of the more hyped Vampire Savior tournaments this year and features and features the strongest VSAV players around.

37reloaded Vampire Savior Tournament

I will be at the 37reloaded SoCal Major with my Vampire Savior UD-CPS2 arcade setup this Saturday! There will be a side-tournament at 3pm on Saturday in the BYOC section.

37reloaded is a "throwback major" featuring classic fighters (MvC2, ST, 3rd Strike, CvS2) as the main games along with USF4. It's happening this Saturday and Sunday, November 22nd-23rd at Cal Poly Pomona. If you don't want to enter the main tournaments, you can get a $10 pass on site to just play in casuals and in the BYOC section. If you want to come down just to chill and not play anything its free for spectators.

Vampire Savior will have a $3 entry fee for this event. Depending on the turnout I may try to record the tournament plus some casuals.
